Hey guys.. a friend told me that if you use a rev box it is a lot easier to cook your motor.. i was just wondering if this is true or if u recomend running a rev box.. and also which one you would suggest.

With a basically stock 400ex, you will not benefit, from the use of a rev box. The engine only build power till about 6500rpm. The stock box goes to 8500(?) or something close. It will help keep it from cutting out when the wheels are in the air, but thats about it. The aftermarket rev box I had on my 400ex, made it harder to start. It was near impossible to get it running when cold outside.

First Post!
Ya i had a rev box on my ltz 400, well it was a different cdi unit, but it sucked in the cold it would sputter in 5th, but other than that it was sweet. Elimintes the stock cut off point and overrides the reverse limit!
