My son is thinking of selling his 98 warrior, which is in great shape. Has a K&N and re-jetted, but other-wise stock. He has 2 people that will give him $3500 for it, it looks brand new. Here in KC MO. You can buy used 2000 400ex's for around $4500, that are in just as good shape as his 350 warrior. Thier are many differences in bikes, and he is an exellent ridder, and has been ridding a long time. Well is it worth it or not??

Yep, get the 400, it has about 10 more rear wheel HP stock, better chassis geometry, better suspension, and far more potential.

The only thing the Warrior's got over the 400 is Reverse.

I ride a 400ex and think it's worth the 1000 to. I was not sure if the Yamaha forum people were going to agree...

I would definatly agree. The 400EX is a great quad. The only reason I upgraded to the Raptor was for the reverse. I think my Modified 400EX would keep up with my stock Raptor in the woods, until I had to backup out of a tight spot, then the Raptor would smoke it.

Go for the 400EX, your kid, and you will be thankful for it. (That is if you can stay off it long enough for your kid to ride it!)

I think he will get the 400ex, I think its worth it also.
Many people are selling thier 400 to put thier name down on a list for a raptor. This is good news for people wanting to upgrade or get a 400ex. They are going pretty cheap here in KC MO. From 4200 to 4900 bucks. People want the money for thier raptors pretty bad...hope it's worth it.

Tell me about it, I sold me 400EX for $4400 bucks, and it was in great shape, had the complete big gun exhuast system, a K&N Filter, Maxxis All-Trak 22x11x10 Tires with Douglas Blue Label rims, DynoJet kit, DG Skid Plated, DG nerf bars, DG Six Pack Rack and a complete set of Shockwears.

That kid got a smokin deal! Considering:
2000 400EX $5699
Big Gun System $439
Big Gun Quite core $89
K&N Filter and DynoJet kit $99
DG Nerf Bars $149
DG Full on Skid Plate $119
DG Carrier Skid Plate $89
DG Six Pack Rack $99
Maxxis All-Traks $269

All done, he got $7051 worth of merchandise (BTW - The 400EX was only 10 Months old) for $4400.00

Good luck with your new purchase, and look for deal like mine, they exist, trust me!
