trx vs raptor

Default trx vs raptor

exactly what makes a trx 450 faster at the crack the throttle than a raptor 700 is it the compresion ratio i dunno

I actually think the Raptor is faster off the line....if you can hold the front end down that is. Then the Raptor checks out early at around 6,000 rpm, where the 450 is just beginning to make its power.......

If your talking about reving from an idle it's more than likely going to be stroke. An engine with lots of torque has a long stroke. This will give the piston lots of leverage on the crank. Engines like the Raptor have long strokes to give them lots of torque. This torque gives them a big advantage on the trails.

With the 450 type class of engine the stroke is short so you can rev it to the moon. That is how you get the power out of these engines. They love to rev. This gives them the advantage on the track. They dry rev REAL quick.

Comparing a 450 to a 700 is like comparing a small block Chevy to a big block Chevy. Do you want something that winds out or something that has lots of torque?
