Default Help, AC 300 4x4, looking to replace tires

I am looking to replace my tires on my 2003 300 4x4, currently they are 24x9x12 and 25x10x12. I have always wonder why they had different sizes, but I assumed that AC did something in the gearing to support the difference.
Do I need to stay with these sizes??? Can I go to a larger tire alongs as I stay with the 1 inch difference between front and back??? Or can I go with 25 or 26 inch tires all around??? The kid at the dealer didn't give me an answer that satisfied me.. Thanks for the help

I do think that you should stay with the one inch larger tire in the back, although I have read a few people claim that they have run equal sizes without problems. As far as larger tires, keep in mind that the 300 puts out only about 14 hp, so I'm sure even one step up in size, 25's in the front and 26's in the back, would make it even more sluggish, especially in high. If increased ground clearance is a goal, there is also a lift kit available (Moose part number MUDALK02).

I agree that your biggest hurdle here is the lack of power. The 300 is a solid lil' worker but the added weight of any larger tire is sure to be felt. I would recommend staying with the factory size tires.
