I've been out of the atv scene for about 5-10 yrs. and am now reconsidering getting back into it, I have found a 99 Polaris Sportsman 500, in new condition with only 40 hrs. on it. This is an older gentleman that has really taken care of it, and he is asking $5,000 for it. I was wanting to know if this is a good deal or any other info on Polaris.

I don't know if this is any help, but I bought my 2000 Sportsman 500 just about a month ago brand new for $5,600.

 

I bought a 99 SP 500 a month ago with 800 miles for $4500. Seemed like a good deal until I blew the clutch, and had to replace the rear brakes. $5000 doesn't seem too bad with low miles.
