Its the thing where you going in auto and it kinda bogs like your holding on the brake and the gas. Some people say its not downshifting or something like that. It does it worse in 4wd than 2wd. Ive heard its the angle sensor, ecm, clutch, shift motor. Someone said it you could take the shift motor off and move the shaft and reset it i guess? Not sure. I just dont want to spend lots $$$ figuring out whats wrong. And some people said that dealers cannot figure it out and neither can my local dealers. More people say they can't figure it out more than anything. Thats why I want to call them.

Yeah, my 07 rincon did that exact thing once when I first started out on a ride. I shut the engine off and restarted it and the problem went away and hasn't done it again. To me it acted like two bands or clutches were applied at the same time.

ok thanks, I just didnt want to spend $160 on a new ecm and that not be the problem. So with my symptoms, it should be the ecm? what about the auto tranny control motor? Thats always making an electronic noise when it is doing the bogging/not downshifting right thing. Thanks for your help so far honda mechanic.
