primer on 2002 375 4X4
#1
Hello all
I just purchased a used 2002 375 and the manual shows a postage size drawing of the location of the 'primer button' for use in cold weather. The guy I bought it from mentioned problems in starting in cold weather but nothing about a primer button. I cannot for the life of me find the primer button as shown in the little picture (just aft of the engine and sort of behind the fuel on/off ****). Not that many places to look - do some engine models not have this feature?

My brothers 375 auto has a electronic choke(I think thats what its called) so im guessing yours does to. On my 01 400 it has the primer on the right side of the carb, but they changed the body style in 2002.

If you have an electric start then there is a good chance that you don't have a primer button. As a general rule engines that have primer buttons are kick-start of pull-cord. The reason being is that with an electric start, the starter will spin the engine fast enough to prime itself. With a kick-start or pull-cord, the engine is not turning over very many revolutions before it needs to start, so you need a readily available supply of gas.
