Did you buy your quad new or used?

I bought both of mine new at the same time, but Abernathy's Hinda gave me a pretty good price. Odds are the next one I buy will be used though. Find someone trying to get out rom under a loan a year into it and get a better deal. Just won't get a warranty.
Hell I did not get warranty this time. I just took out full coverage insurance on both of them. If I crash it bad I just have to cover $100 deductible.

If you are going to buy used I would check to see how well it was maintained, but what I would do which is in between both is getting a last years model bike and you should be able to get a deal on it...I am still paying off my 450r from August, but am an 18 year old kid and almost have it paid off...well wish ya luck and welcome to the forums.

I looked at the new Rancher 420 yesterday. I could not beleive how expensive they were. 5,500 bucks with just stock equipment. Last year I only gave 6100 for Rubicon with Mudlites tires, Chrome rims, and winch!!
I decided if I get my daughter one, I will search for a used one. A guy nearby has a good looking 2003 (I think) Foreman for 2100 bucks.

I have bought both ways. I am a firm believer that you can get a better deal buying used if you are willing to take the bigger risk of hidden problems.

Kodiak new, desert cat 90 new, 300ex used
Good deals are out there, like I could get a 05' grizzly with 200 miles for $5000 right now......I think thats a pretty good deal since my kodiak was 6700 out the door

Long time reader...first-time poster. Bought my 04 Rincon and Rancher new...next couple machines for my boys will most likely be used. I'm active duty Air Force, and have been in Afghanistan for one year this month...my 04's have yet to be broke it...sad...but true....less than 200 miles on each...most of that on a Big Horn ride while on leave last year. Light at the end of the tunnel...headed home soon, and looking forward to finally getting out to ride. This forum has been great for entertainment this past year...thanks.

I bought a new 2001 Foreman 450 ES for $7000 Canadian,I put 900 miles on it and it looked and rode like the day I bought it when I sold it for $4500.
The guy who bought it off me for $4500 got a much better deal than I got for $7000 easily.
