are the racks on your quad getting scratched
#1
when i got my quad i noticed that the racks were scratching really bad and started to rust. so i sanded down the racks with rough sandpaper and the sprayed truck bed liner on them. i don't have one scratch on it yet and i had axes and a steel gas can on the back.

That is a good idea! I can not beleive I did not think about it. I have a buddy with an old jeep and he had the entire outsie of the body done in that stuff. It looks a bit odd but the more you look at it, it begins to look tough. Then when you see the crap he puts it thru and comes out without a scratch... well it just makes sense.
I would like to know what type you used. The walmart cheap stuff, or the roll on stuff you can get at Oreilly's Auto parts or what?

Yamaha did it right years ago when they started powder coating their racks. The things still look new years later. I've got a 3 week old honda with scratched up racks. I thought about getting them powder coated but was looking at about 200 for sandblasting and coating. Interested in the brand coating you used.

i used a truck bed liner spray from canadian tire which most of you people don't have. but im sure that any truck bed liner will work if you follow the directions for proper curring. i did it my self in one day and it was only about 5 bucks a can.
