I have the oppurtunity to get some good used Duncan Racing Paul Turner pipes for my Banshee and I was wondering what people that had them thought of them and even people that don't have them. I heard they give you screaming low and mid range and that top end remains the same. This doesn't sound too bad but I wanted a pipe that would make it scream from low to top end. I can't sacrifice any top end speed and would actually hate to spend good money on pipes that don't boost top end. Also, any good words on Pyramid Reed Valves in Cages. I guess they're Rad or Ram Valves. Let me know.

I like paul turners personally. I think they are a good wide power spread pipe. Do they make the most hp? Probably not, but they make power everywhere. It sounds as though the pipes you are mentioning are torque pipes, which would put the spread at the lower revs. If you are a high rev rider then you might not like these pipes. They will get you to the topend faster, but the top wouldnt be as good as with say toomeys. I here allot of good about the pyremid reed valves. They increase the reed petal area and that is what makes the improvemnet.

The best part of Paul Turner Pipes for the Banshee is that your legs will not get burned!!!!

I have a 98 Banshee and had FMF Pipes on it. I loved the FMF Pipes, but everytime I rode with shorts on, I got terrible burns on my calf muscles. Paul Turner Pipes are formed in a way that keeps them away from your legs. That in itself makes the extra $$$ worth it!

venomus - i had duncans on a 93 shee, and i think there just what your lookin for. they come on lower and with no harder of a hit than the stockers and they just keep on pullin, top end over stock is a bigger difference than the bottom actually. but when compared to other aftermarket pipes, anything but a 2-1 pipe will have more topend. as far as the reed cages i never replaced mine, but ive never heard much good of fmf's ram valve
