A bit more power for MPX150?
#1
After talking with a friend and a few trail rides I have found 3 things that need work on the redcat mpx150s
1) Bumpstear FIXED thanks to the post about turning the rims around works GREAT!
2) chain skips when you get close to max load, steed hill climbs, or jump on the gas. Just ordered a chain tensioner to bolt on from ebay after I saw what the cause was when the swing arm conpresses the chain gets loose. Think I got that one covered now
3) Power need more power, My friend had a 90cc atv their that they took the restricter plate out of the exhast and that thing moves as fast as the mpx150s now! Anyway we took the exhast off but their wasnt a restricter plate in it, looks like its inline in the exhast pipe. Has anyone cut this out for a bit more power when needed?
Other then that I love this atv for the cost I can go where all the $3,000.00 ones go I love it! Also the redcat had a great place to mount a 2k lb winch ... and yes it has saved me 1 time so far high sided on a log in a creek LOL (who wants to get all wet picking up you atv to get it off a log)
