Help in locating Fuel Petcock for older 50cc
#1
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
I was given an older model 50cc 4-wheeler (says..Midwest on it) I got it running this past weekend and it runs very well for an old 50cc thats been sitting for at least 2yrs.
Well now that bad part....after I took it for a test ride all was well. Gave it one last look-over and noticed I should replace the fuel line from the fuel petcock/carb, in doing so the stem from the petcock broke off the assembly.
Now I searched around town, going to several different place looking for a replacemnt with no luck. Someone mentioned JB weld, I thought what the heck. I removed the petcock cleaned it put some JB weld on it, let it sit over night replaced the new fuel line on the petcock, all was looking good when.......
I took it for another test ride, parked it in the garage and came back out 20min later to see that the JB didn't hold and it had broke free from the original spot, guess I won't be showing it to the 'lil man tonight.
Well with my little story above I guess I could have just said.......
I need a Fuel Petcock for an older model 50cc 4-wheeler
I located "Mid West" on the internet, called several times w/no answer, email twice no reply. I'm not sure if there even in business anymore.
If anyone knows where I can purchase this part at a reasonable price, can you pass along the info...Please

Cowboy, Thanks for the info.
If there was a bike show in town I would check it out. I went to several different bike shops and no one had anything to say except 'good luck' ...well one mentioned the JB weld.
PS. I also edited for the correct term.

smb05.......Thanks,
Yes, it is an off brand.
I have called them (Mid West) and received no answer and the voice mail box was full. I have also emailed and have yet to get a reply. I hope to get in contact with them as I think they might have what I need, at least according to there parts list....just hope it's the correct size.
Thanks again,
