Back by popular demand....the Aledo Nationals will be held at Red River Sand Drags located in Fouke, Arkansas on the weekend of May 18th & 19th.

This event originated at the WORLD FAMOUS TRAILER PARK in Aledo, Tx.

This will be the first year at Red River Sand Drags and let me tell you, there are some big names already slated to attend.

The main event will be held Saturday May 19th.

300ft Sand Drags with enough classes to accomodate anybody or any bike.

Major work on the track is being done today to get the 40 foot lanes done as well as the new watering system. The starting system will be done next week with 60 foot times as well. It will be a great change from the original Aledo events. the first Aledo event had over 200 bikes show up from all over the country and we just ran on a dirt strip in a pasture with a flag starter. They were great times and at RRSD it will be even better. Wow how things have changed since the first Aledo Nationals. A lot of events have sprung up all over since then. The sport is still gaining and I remember when the fast 4 strokes were nothing like now. Even at the Aledo events we were mainly targeting 4 strokes but we were amazed at the number of banshees that showed up and continued over the years. The Aledo races were originally started with the competion between a group of local friends that had Raptors and DS650's and then it was fueld more by good old forum battles. Who remembers DSmike, Roostinonyou, biggerisbetter, buttfunguss and the early days of mrhp at Aledo? It has been a fun 5 or 6 years..

 

I remember those days as well. 14mins was a trip and the Bomb was always super fast. A few other names that were always around were Ernie, Tate, Samcoed, Dolarbilz and 222. Those were good times

Fouke Arkansas is located just north of the Louisiana/Arkansas border. Just east of the Texas/Arkansas border. It is nestled in the southwest corner of Arkansas.

This race is posted on several website to invite the whole world.
