Default Saw my first Renegade, I'm in love

Stopped in at the dealer & saw the Renegade 800. What a quad! Reminds me of the first time I saw my DS. Big, sturdy, powerful, different & so tempting!

I wish BRP would release a 450 & update the DS better but wow that Renegade is sweet! If I didn't jump so much I'd really consider buying it.

It does, doesn't? For some reason the test riders that commented on the Renegade after comparing it to the Grizzly and Raptor stated it doesn't look like it's tuff enough for typical trail abuse!! Where they got that idea from I don't understand. I think everything about it looks beefier and better made than any other quad I've seen. I'm appalled at that article! ya they look sweet as hell, but the price is a lil steep. If i was going to dish out that much for a quad i'd have to get the 800outtyxt instead because its just more practical in my eyes.

Me and my friend (750brute) were comparing our front drive shafts. The Renegades was much beefier... We looked over a couple of things and the Renegade was beefier, but its probably the other way as well

I figured we would get lost in tranlation... but what i meant by that was, there is probably things beefier on the brute than the renegade that we didnt find, makin it more durable.

I actually liked the Brute, think the Black one looks sweet. Before that I was going to buy a Wolverine for myself, then a friedn of mine talked me into the Brute. I knew about the Renegade, but it wasn't quite out yet. By the time I actually made the decision to trade my 03 Raptor for the Brute, the Renegade had just hit the dealership floor. I couldn't resist the temptation. I would love to see a comparison of a Brute with the same tire setup against a Renegade. From what I heard, the tires that come on it is it's biggest disadvantage.

The tires are good for a few things like in the snow I really liked the holeshots they did much better than the brute with mudlites or the Outlander 800 on ACT's. Also they are kind of flat so they ride good on the road and are pretty decent on hardpack surface. They just lack puncture protection and aren't the best for deep mud.

So far i haven't had any punctures in mine. I lose a little air over a few weeks out of my front tire, I think that's because on my second day i banged in the front front hard. That little bit of difference is causing the front right tire to lose air over the course of a week. The dealer even tried straigtening it out, but I think the integrity of the seal will never be the same as when it was new.
