Roketa 150cc ..I need some help please.
#1
I just got this for my kids. It's a roketa 150cc automatic w/reverse.I got it new and it runs fine until after about 20 minutes of riding, then it acts like it is starving for fuel.It will then go dead but it usually starts right up after a few minutes and runs a little while and does it again.Does anyone have any ideas?Does anyone know where I can find out what type of fluid is used for the transmission box?The screw was loose and it has leaked some.I got the screw fixed but I'm thinking I might need to replace the fluid.

Sounds like it is running out of fuel. When it dies try taking the fuel line off to the carb and see if there is fuel there, try not to get fuel on anything very hot. If there is no fuel then check for fuel filters or the screen in the tank. If fuel is present the float level in the carb is set wrong. Could also be a vapor lock issue.

On some of these quads the fuel cap was not vented. You need to check this. If it dies again unscrew the cap and turn it over to see if it restarts. The caps have to be vented otherwise it will cause a vacuum effect and dies after a bit. You let it sit then it restarts because vacuum dissipates untill it runs for a bit.

Come to think of it I don't think the cap is vented.I should have thought of this because I have done this with my boat....Thank both of you guy's or gal's for your input.

Hi ya'll,
I've had my Roketa Sicily 150 for one day, and it started right up. It idles ok for a few minutes and then the engine sounds like it's ready to die. It then picks back up. When I give it just a little gas, it moves, but if I let off the throttle, it dies. It will start right back up, but I don't want to be driving in traffic and have it die on me if I let off the throttle. A few people have said I should adjust the idle, but I'm not sure where it is. If I had a picture, I could find the screw. I've opened the seat and found the compartment lid, opened it, but can't see down into the engine area well enough to identify the carb and idle screw.
Anyone have instructions or pics that might help?
Thanks!

usually there is a little screw on the side of the carb, you shouldn't have to take anythimg off to get to it just look on the side of the carb and the screw should be right there it has a little comression spring between the screw and the carb.if you find it turn it only a quarter turn at a time till the bike idles.hopefully that will help u a little bit. P.S try this with the bike already running as u will be able to here the difference in the sound of the idle.

The Gas Cap should have a Rubber seal up in side, this should have a hole going through it to vent the tank. I had this same problem with my Jetmoto 150 and there was no hole like the other Jetmotos I have. Once I put a hole in it the problem went away!
