racing sprokets

Default racing sprokets

i need a new sproket but theres differnt typs like the rear sprokeet i found some to buy but whats the differnce btweem 36 37 38 39 tooth sprokets the mor teeth speed or the less teeth torqe i dont now but i need one to improve acceleration.

If you want to increase acceleration, you will want to add teeth. More teeth = more low end (torque). Drop teeth = more top end speed, decrease in torque. I would go up one tooth from your stock (maybe 2) and see if that gives you what you are looking for. You can get them for cheap on ebay for like $8-10. I have a 36, 38, 39 for mine and run the 36 for open field riding and the 38 & 39 for trail riding, etc. Hope this helps! Take Care and be Safe!

There used to be sprocket specialists(spelling?).......maybe try googling it.......they sold all types of sprockets(even titanium)

or drop a tooth in the front for accel

btw 1 front tooth = 3 rear

the front one would be harder to change, but easy enough...i have an hpd race motor w/ team sprockets, and the seem to be holding up fine
