i know..this has been ran into the ground..350x swing arm on 300ex
#1
I can't find the threads on this so i figured i'd start a new one.
now, i want to use a 350x swing arm on my 300ex.
What type of axle and carrier can i use? i want a +2 or +4 axle.
I don't know if they still make 350x axles and stuff like that
also someone said you have to space it out. someone that has done this..tell me how you went about this?
how much of a space is there?
thanks all

I did this on my 250x, which is the same as a 300ex. You must us the complet rearend from the 350x; swingarm, axle, shock, bearing carrier, etc. I tried putting the 250 bearing carrier into the 350 swingarm and it was not the correct length to get the big snap ring on. The spacers that you will need is to fill in on the axle bolt. The 350 swingarm on the front is about 3/4 in narrower. Use some washers to fill in on the bolt to take up the space between the swingarm and the frame. Make sure when you are finished that the two sprokets are lined up straight or you will have chain problems. The other problem that I had when doing this was the bolt and the diameter of the hole on top of the shock are different sizes. After doing this the quad was alot more stable on landing from jumps and just plane riding. Hope that this helps you out.
