try useing the primer on the side of the carb, take the right side black cover off and you will see a black **** on the carb- push it 3-4 times and crank the engine over at 1/16th throttle. This usally gets my rubi fired ultra quick.
If this fails to work, then its possabbly flooded- take the spark plug out (after blowing dirt out of the area) and crank the engine over for 10 seconds at full throttle with both the fuel pedcock and ignition turned off. replace spark plug and try to start the engine normally without choke.
* I cant wait for EFI on the new rubicon II whenever honda makes one

I just read your post again, you said no spark at all? I would check:
1. Right side handbrake, mine has a switch in there and it doesnt like to start when pulled in
2. water in the left handlebar mounted kill switch?
Electrical problems do normally sufrace when the machine is new- then once fixed are very very rare
