It's a good system. You don't have to, but I'd put in a 160 Main jet & turn the fuel screw out 1-2 more turns.

It will be quite louder than stock, but the power gains should be decent. A clutch kit to go with it would be another good idea.

is that jet good for 2500 ft elevation? most of my riding is between 2000 and 6000 feet. what about clutching? do i have to change spring and weights on the primary and what about spring or helix on secondary?

I have that pipe / silencer on my '05 and love it. Its way louder than stock, but its just right. Its not too much loud unless you pull the spark arrestor from the pipe (but you can always put it back in). I live at about 4800 feet, and since I have put the pipe on I have not had to rejet - I think I was a touch too rich before.

After you pipe it, consider an airbox mod kit, clutch kit, and rejet - the bike will REALLY wake up - especially after the clutch kit. After that, IMO, there isnt much more you can really squeeze (economically) from the 500 power wise.

I picked the pro-circuit exhaust because it was the only stainless steel pipe / silencer available. IMO its the highest quality pipe out there for our machines. May not be the cheapest, but its the best quality IMO.
