Pretty sure it's got a higher top speed stock for stock than any current quad.........I would guess in the low to mid 80's

Just picked up the bike this morn. Put 3 hours on her today. That thing flies. Got a top speed of 75.5 mph on GPS, the speedo said 76. This was on pavement with me a 320lb F.B.I (Freakin Big Indian). I also ran it on gravel and got 69mph on a 1000ft of road.. The dealer said it should get more once it is broken in or the chip gets burnt out!

The very highest I've heard on an Outy top end is 80 mph. Mine hit 68 mph the one time I opened it up, but it has the XT pkg, 70 more pounds, and it wasn't tuned good. I doubt you will get yours over 80 either, even with the 110 lbs lower weight than the Outy XT.
When that dealer talks about a 'chip', I have seen many posts from technicians saying there is no chip. These dealers are salesmen + they don't know any better. Keep up with the forums and you definitely will know more than they do, plus you do not speak with forked tongue, lol, like the dealers do.
A standard Outy 800 with pipe and dobeck will take the stock Renegade from start to finish. This is not dissing your your ride at all! The std 800 will not take a Renegade if it has the pipe and dobeck also. Your clutching is better, plus the suspension is <u>way better!<u>!

I've had mine to 77 mph but it bounces off the limiter at 8000-7950 rpms. What's neat is that it will go over 70 mph in 2 tenths of a mile. The factory balanced tires makes it handle better than any quad I've ever rode at these speeds including my z400 or 400ex.

Pretty spooky goin 80 mph on a 1000 lbs of Outy ute quad and rider. I know of one guy who wrecked on a frontage road doin close to 100. Didn't kill him, but he was one hurtin unit. Just tires, engine left from his quad.

77MPH
The break-in chip on exist on the skidoos, not the quads
