Default Clearance between the valve stem and rocker arm on the 250 Sport

Anyone have an idea what it should be? My son's 250 started ticking VERY loud yesterday morning so I pull the valve cover off. There was WAY too much clearance between the valve and the rocker arm adjustment screw. I set it so it "felt" like the intake, obviously didn't screw it down tight. It ran fine all morning, no more noise until later, and I found it had way too much clearance again. I cleaned the screw, the locking nut, and the threads in the rocker arm with carb cleaner, and locktited it. I don't know if it was backing off or what.

The weather here sucks today so I guess we'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Apparently the LockTite is what it needed. It ran today with no problems. I traded my son my Hawkeye for the 250 for awhile. The 250 is a BLAST to ride.
