Considering buying an ATV and looking for advise on options of what to get. Uses will include pulling a swisher trail mower, possibly snow blade, riding around in the fields for fun, pulling a trailor when cutting firewood, probably like to have something with a wench as we are going to be cutting and pulling some trees from the pond so I would like to be able to pull them out with the 4 wheeler. Also have a pond that was a blast when my father in law brought his 4x4 polaris over last winter when it was frozen. Father in law just purchased a polaris sportsman 4x4 automatic transmisson and I love it. However, he spent quite a bit more then I want to. I know I want an automatic transmission and am pretty sure I want 4x4 but may be flexible if I find the right buy. I would like to get something under 4000 if possible and 5k at absolute most. So what size do you suggest? Any specific model reccomendations? Please include approximate costs as well. Thanks.

 

The Honda Foreman rubicon is the best workhorse.

 

You can check out the Sportsman 450 it replaced the 2005 sportsman 400..which they don't make anymore!!
If you check around you may even find a left over 2006 at a lower cost that is still brand new!!

Well I paid $7200.00 Each Canadian funds....Back in June 2006 With Winches for both!!!!
So you should be able to find one for around $6000 U.S............Caper..........Just a guess though!!!!
