It should fit. The later versions of that end cap had slotted screw holes which accomidated the variations of the stock can. If it does not have the slotted scew holes, it will still fit, its just a bit tougher to fit on. The the quick answer is .... yes.

 

Nobody has ever reported any performance differences.
