Off topic truck ?

I bought a used truck a little over two weeks ago.It had some issues that i
was told would be taken care of.The dealership has had my truck for two weeks.
They called me tonite and said it was done.Absolutly nothing was taken care of.
They used a half a tank of gas and left me on empty.
My trade in is long gone.
What would your responce be?
Is there any chance in hell i can get out of owning this truck? And possibly find a reputable dealer(if there is such
a thing)
Thanks for listening to me vent.Any responce even angry ones are welcome.

That really sucks, did you get all the stuff that was to be repaired on paper?
We had a similar situation 3yrs ago when we bought our crewcab. Went to a dealer in S dakota cause we were living in Gillette Wy. and test drove a nice crewcab dually, it had leather and all the bells and whistles. Anyway due to time constraints we left without the truck and we were in the middle of moving back to Idaho. I came back to get the truck and they said they were having issues with it and we had to wait 1 more week. so a week later I go to get it and all seemed well until I got halfway home and got fuel and it started blowing white smoke.
So I drove it to Idaho and we fought with the dealer in S. Dakota. The dealer in Pocatello told us it was the same problem they supposedly just fixed, so to make us happy and go away the dealer in S. Dakota sold us our blue truck and we went away happy. Personally I think they knew they sold us a lemon and hopped we would just take it and go away.
And thats the short version.

Just dog them until they get the problems fixed. Keep the person in the loop that promised the repairs and hold their feet to the fire so they work for you. I assume at one point you were willing to buy the truck if the problems were taken care of. If you can get them to do that, you will be right where you wanted to be.
I doubt you can get out of the sale but they might let you switch to another rig if they have another one that is suitable.
Sorry to hear about that!
