Default Anyone know about bearings?

2002 Scrambler 4x4 400 cc
I am doing some major tune ups on my ATV I have just completed re-doing the bearings in my rear axle, to find that 1 of the bearings was completely exploded. I am contemplating doing the front bearings on my quad. But here are the questions that I have.

- I am handy, but will this job be over my head.

- Do I even need to replace these bearings, how can I tell? When should they be replaced?

- Looking at parts diagrams I see that there are 2 sets of hub bearing per hub and 2 sets of bearings per strut. Will I need to replace all of these bearings. or just the Struts or Hubs.

I do have a service manual but I dont want to get in over my head. Any information that someone might have would be really great.

the front bearings normally last a long time. change the fluid regularly at least once a year. if you must replce them its not that hard just lay the pieces out in a row as you remove them so you can reassemble in the correct order. hope this helps
