I need to know your opinins on what to get, i have narrowed it down to a trx 450 a predator 500 and the raptor 660. i am 18 years old 5'11, 160 lbs i have been rideing since i was 4 (dirt bikes not ATVs) and what i want to do is cross country racing through fast trails kinda like the GNCC. I am going to buy used(04' to 06') and have around 4k to spend and have seen all three of them in my price range.

if you plan to race,if it were me i`d go with the trx.or instead of a pred look at the 06 outlaw..they suit gncc racing better than the pred and have the same motor.i`ve seen the 06 outlaw go for 4500 bucks used.i have a 660r and can safely tell you i wouldn`t gncc it.

I would also say the outlaw or the 450r. All have about the same speed but the outlaw would handle the best out of them all. The pred would be fine because they are set up for more mx racing. The 660 would be the last choice. Its alot heavier than the rest you mentioned. I dont think you can go wrong with either the Polaris or Honda.

I find the 660 to be narrow and tippy. I would have to widen one, or spend a lot of time on 2 wheels. Never been able to warm up to anything made by Polaris.
The 450R has a great handling chassis. The engine likes to run reved out, so you might need to gear it down a little.
