Default Got a new top end speed for my Renegade!

When the bike was new, it would get 73mph, then it got 75mph ans as it broke in more it woul hit 78mph. On Friday I put a set of 26in PXT tires from my Sprtsman800( which gears it up) and got a new speed of 81.8mph. Doesnt feel like I lost any bottom end. Just an Awesome bike!

Sweet , when mine was new it would hit 74. I haven't tried again since I broke it in. I thought I would get more out of it.

thought the renegade would be alot faster.(not that it needs to be) my 500xt hit 70 after 35 hours on it. i've added a snorkle kit to it and it has alot more power. haven't had it out in the open to run it yet though. ???? is the gearing or a computer chip holding the renegade back??? i thought it would be alot faster then 80

It appears the Bombardier has been telling the Dealers that the Renegade willl do 90mph. It so far has been a lot of Bull#$%&. I bought my Renegade fpr one reason and one reason only. and that was to whoop alll other quad in a race down the gravel or pavement. I though it would do 90mph, so I bought it and was conned. But it is still faster than most of the little sport quads that I have had a chance to race against, it is just not the FASTEST. YET!

We run on the sand with paddles and on the hard pack flat, the really fast bikes hit 73 - 74 mph. My stock Raptor 700R only does about 66 - 67. They might be a little faster with knobbies on asphalt.

Breaking 80mph is hauling the mail and I wouldn't want to hit too big a bump at that speed! That is for sure!

8K RPM = 80 MI with stock tires. No way you should be able to max it out unless you pump up the tires and are open road going with the wind. The ecm will start to defuel with max rpm.

Ditto. There's a reason stock top end is 80 mph.

Boombastic, why not set your bike up for drag racin' instead of top end? I saw a guy right after he bit asphalt on top end. His bike and him too were very broken.

Want to have any kids? Stick to drag racin'.

i think alot must be your elevation or lack of having a long (like 2 miles) straight . i never run on asphalt. and like i said i hit 70 on a 500xt and the 800xt pased me like i was a turd in the road.

has anyone bothered turning out the speed limiter screw that prevents you from opening the throttle all the way?
