Default Sportsman Clutch Trouble

What makes the quad creep when in forward or reverse? The idle is set correctly, only thing I could think of is something worn out in the clutch, anyone have an idea? The quad is a 02' Sportsman 500.

Thanks

Keith

Could be a bad belt or the bushings in the clutch need replacing. They can stick up on the shaft and not let the clutch release fully

i replaced my 02 500 belt (which shrunk) w/ a 700 belt top cog belt and had good luck and no more creeping. like he said it also could be a bad ebs bushing. check your engine mounts as well to make sure they arent broke or have moved.

The most often cause is the clutchs are out of alignment. Look at your belt in the primary see if it favors one side or the other. Usually will rest against the motor side. If so an easy fix just pull the secondary and add 1-2 shims. You should have no more than 3.
