the guy where I bought the ATV from said not to get a k&n air filter for my quad to get a different brand. Is he right or will the K&n be fine?

Keep in mind Ill be doing lots of dirt and sand racing.

You are better off getting a foam filter I would agree with the stealer for once...I haven't really been able to do much to my 450r as I am paying it off still, but have some pics of her on my pics page...If it were up to me I would get the hrc kit, exhuast, airfilter, new tires, and after all of that maybe some suspension if you are a person that jumps alot and would need wider suspenion and such it depends on your riding.

ya get like a uni filter. the k&n lets too much dust/durt/sand in the engine. unless your going to drag it then you'll want a k&n cause it dose give most hp gains.

let's see what? You can't post pics on here, so a verbal description is the best you'll get here. Maybe some day the'll move into the 20th century and make pics work here.

You post pics on the pics page...The purpose of nerf bars is to give your feet some extra room incase you slipped off and give protection against something coming up from the side and if you get the nerf bars with the heel gaurs it protect your feet from getting run over by the rear tire...They are awesome and would highly recommend them and do give better ballance.
