Default oil

has anyone ever used synthetic oil in a grizzly and does it make start any easier or is it too thin thanks for input

Yes you can use a synthetic oil in your Grizzly. No it's not too thin if you get the correct weight for your engine.
The big number on the bottle basically tells you how well the oil flows (how thick the oil is) when it's hot.
One of the big advantages of using a synthetic oil is your engine will turn over a lot better in cold weather.
