Overview of AWD

Can someone give me a brief overview of how the awd works,,,if its electroniclly controlled and juice is going to the hubs,,what else could cause them not to engage,, forgot to mention its a 2000 explorer,,no speedo,,chain drive in back ,,,straight axles for front wheel drive,,,holly crap man,,all of the posts on the awd system,,,,seems to me mine is just not engaging electriclly,,,

Wrong hub fluid(need Polaris......Everybody claims)
bad wires(going to wheel)
ECM or PDM gone downhill(electronic control module.......Power distribution module)
switch(AWD)
sensor(wheel)
Pod(DASH information center)
Axle.....or CV joints
electronic coil(hub)
ETC............................................... .........Caper....................
bad wires(going to wheel)

first thing is to make sure you got power going thru the switch down to the hubs. this totally difernt from our set up caper. its engaged in the hubs instead of ours in the front end.

ohyea i got it alright lol. you guys missed the honda guy who was on here earlier who was making the same post muiltp. times over and over again on differnt post. i reported him to the mods. and they took him right off the forum.
