Hey y'all.

Anyone find it in their heart to give DETAIL instructions on how to change the oil in my 2007 honda TRX 500 rubicon. Also, any other preventative maintenance recommendations appreciated!!!! Thanks!

I just changed mine on my 07 Ruby. Just remove warm the engine up good, remove the skid plate, drain the oil by removing the 2 drain plugs, change filter, Reinstall the 2 plugs, re-install skid plate, then re-fill with 6 quarts oil.

 

Under other things to do, follow the schedule for valve checks.

Does the '07 take 6 quarts? My '05 only takes 5.

 

Mine took a full 6 plus quarts with the filter.

 

mine takes a tad less than 6 quarts, to check the oil- warm it up- let it sit for 5 mintues then just rest the dip stick on the threads, dont screw it in.

 

Right on JRM. Checking it that way, mine comes out to the upper level mark.
