NO,NO,NO.........The 500 would be under-powered for that type of ride.........Two people plus the quad ................TOO MUCH.........That my view..........Caper.......

 

My thought is, nope. They already have the 500efi X2. Then again, they already have the 800 X2 also. Still, I doubt it.

 

yamaha has a 450 rino. and you know the 500 efi has more power than the yamaha's 450
plus the rzr is lighter.

 

But I think yamaha sells 9 rhino 660's for every 1 450.

 

Polaris has been making a full size ranger powered by the 500 motor since the late 90s. They even had it in a 6x6 version and it pushed the 4x4 chassis at 41 MPH. They now have the 500 EFI 4x4 ranger and 700 EFI XP. Both are good sellers. I dont think they would need to, but the 500 EFI motor would have plenty of power to move the 1000lb RZR compared to the 1450lb ranger 4x4.

why would you not want the 800???

 

i would want the 800 but i think they could sell the 500 for $1500 less.and that would put more rzr's on the trail.

 

The polaris 500 is a far better engine then both the 700 and 800. Some of you are going to argue with me I know but I had both of them and lots of other people will agree with me. If they had one with it comming out this year I would have bought one right away. Instead I'll wait another year to see how it goes with the bugs.
