Default Jetmoto 110 - Parts availability & resale & quality

I am thinking of going with a jetmoto 110 for my 9 year old. Here are the questions I have:

~Is it cheaply made? I hear people say some brands fall apart and others do not as bad and there is the whole Taiwan quad vs Chinese, which I am not understanding.

~Is it a Honda clone? How hard will parts be to get? Where will I get parts?

~What should I expect the resale to be say in a year or two? It is $995 New. $500? $300? Less?

Resale in a few years.. Depends on the condition... But I'm sure Somebody would pay $500 if it's in decent condition... As far as parts... Raceway has parts, and will have parts for them in the future... These atvs are not Big 4 quality, but for the money "well worth it"

Thanks for the reply. I understand what you mean about the condition. Do you think there will be other parts suppliers if Raceway goes under?

I had and still have, a Yerf Dog Kart/buggy. Yerf Dog went out of business... Parts are difficult to find now. Luckily, I can weld, and some parts are available through aftermarket places... but if it ever needs a top end, it might be just a junk motor at that point... Ya know?

I have the 125 for my 10 yr old.Yes there are cheap things on this quad. Its chinese. But so far it runs great.Very cheap hardware.Bolts tie rods ect.Plastic is plastic. This quad always starts and runs plenty fast enough. Its very big in size which im glad.Son can grow and not out grow the frame size. They do make upgrades to make it preform better which im slowly doing. As i feel my so can handle it.You should be mechanicly inclined if you do buy one.Good luck,i think the jetmoto is just what you need.

I really don't think Raceway will be going anywhere any time soon, but you can always get the parts directly from Jetmoto... And from what I have been reading... Jetmoto has some big plans for the future, so they are here to stay as well

Since you have one I will ask some questions! And thank you for the reply above!

~What has broken on it? What little things have you replaced?
~What is the suspension like in stock trim?
~When you say "there are cheap things on the quad" - like what?
~How is the power? Can it climb hills and go in sand pretty well?
~Motor and transmission? Are they breaking too? Or is it just little things?
~What modifications have you done and what do you plan to do?
~How long have you owned it?

owned it since november.Took him to the atv park in nj were we rode mostly the track.Seems to have plenty of power,i can ride it no problem.170lbs.asfar as hills i think it ill climb anything.3 sds forward and 1 reverse.first is very low geared,2nd is were he does most riding.3rd is like over drive.you have to remember when i compare this machine i own 2005 honda so this is kind what im looking at.he startd out on a kymco 50 and i paid 1700 for this machine.great quality but expensive. This is wht i think so far is below grade and cheap. All nuts and bolts. If you tighten up to tight you will strip the threds if there allready not strippd.Tire are low qualityand have a tendency to leak,so far there wearing ok.hed light bulbs housing seems cheap and hard to change without twisting something apart, they say the battery is no good but so fr for me no problem, the welds look poor but so far no issues,Tie rod ends are very cheap,Paint is cheap and will wear off if rubbed on,So far nothing has broke. This quad does not get riddin alot.here is what i did which most say should be done.changed the oil, changed the pug to ngk, changed the air cleaner to K&N,changed the chain to a better grade.Would like to put the after market exhaust on next. All in all so far i am happy for the money.
