LTR450 Or Yamaha Banshee??
#1
Here's the thing. I love two strokes but these new 450's look pretty nice. I can't decide which one to get. I don't really enjoy mixing the gas but I know a lot of people would say banshees are faster and cheaper. I want power but I want to be able to ride trails mostly and some streets and drag race when I can. What would be the better choice?

The whole original idea of this new generation of engines, is to get that 2-storke performance out of a 4-stroke.
As for the Shee, it has an absolutely old school frame that never was very good even for its day. The motor is thrilling, but the frame geometry and handling is absolutely crap by today's standards! The Shee is two generations outdated, and really needs to be left to die a natural death......
That said, I am not necessarily endorsing the LTR as an alternative, as I have not ridden it. I personally like the YFZ for play riding and jumping, probably the KFX for the trail, and the Honda for going wickedly fast in open country.

was out riding last weekend with my friend. i had my banshee and he had his kfx 400. I had always put down 4 strokes as pieces of crap(prolly cause i used to ride a warrior). i took it for a ride, pulled up in first gear and fell flat on my ***. Now i have a lot more props for them, although not as quick as the banshee, it is still a very fast machine, few mods and it can fly
As for the banshees, 20 yrs old, and mine is still runing stock, minus pipes, only thing wrong is my j-arms(which was the only bad design i ever saw on them) starting to wear my frame a little, the is a tad bit of play in my right front wheel. They will not die for years to come, more dependable then some of the new quads today.
