Default question about fmf exhaust on my 2004 banshee

i just recently purchased fmf exhaust for my 2004 banshee. I put it on, and on 1 side the expansion chamber sits about 1/2 inch away from the head. When i put the silencers on the pipe that ran to the chamber sat aganist the frame of my quad. I took rubber gasket and wedged it between the pipe and the frame so that it wouldnt burn a hole in the pipe or frame. I do not know why the expansion chamber sits so close to the head? Is it possible that the pipe was bent at the wrong angle? Help i'm lost.

Fmf has a problem with fit and finish. I had a 97 Banshee with FMF Fatty's. They rubbed in a few places, including the rear fenders and on the cylinder. I tried to bend and tweak where I could, to reduce rubbing. You have to be careful not to kink the pipes, though. That would ruin them.

I had a fmf system on a Blaster and it fit good. I have bought 3 different systems for 4 stroke quads and 2 were good. Very inconsistant, I guess.
