Alright Renegade owners....I want to what that speedometer reads when your topped out on that badboy!!!! Curious to know if it's as fast as the mags. say about pulling away from a stock Raptor 700 from start to finish....

 

I would expect right around 80 that's how fast mine goes, it get's there real quick which interests me more than top end on a 2 mile straight road. I have raced them on the local dirt drag track and my renegade will leave the raptors and the 450r's eating dirt until the very end of the 1/8th mile in 4wd then they catch up and the 700r passes me up at the very end.

 

77MPH and gettin faster... No it will not pull away from the 700R.

 

huh thats strange my bike will only do 76 ***** out and it kinda takes some time to git there. The top speed on these bikes is grossly overrated

 

My Renegadw will only read 76mph on the speedo. Accordingto GPS it is bang on. If you read 76on your speedo, check your rpm and it is is increasing and your speed stays at 76mph, then you are gaining more speed. Thats what my GPS tells me. I have run 81.5mph with 26in tires and run 77.5mph with the stock 25in tires.

 

Thanks for the real scoop on the Renegade. My local salepsperson was smokin... something powerful, because he's telling me that they will do every bit of 90mph!!!!!

 

I can't remember where I read it but a tech somewhere said that it defuels at 8000 rpm and cuts ignition at 80 mph, or vice versa. So unless you are running larger tires the ECM will shut you down with both rpm and mph. I would love to hear from some more techs out there to see if this is truly the case. I am still patiently waiting for the BRP race ECM that has been hinted at being released to the public. Now with that it would really give the raptors a run for the money.
