Default Sportsman cuts out???

Hi All,
I am a newbie rider to Polaris! I've always drivin Grizzly's & decided to try a Polaris this year. The ride is awesome! However, when I hit 40MPH + my bike cuts out & won't go any faster? The bike runs/starts/rides great but I can't go very fast? I'm told that this thing is supposed to hit 70MPH...
Any thoughts on what is wrong?
2005 Polaris Sportsman 700 EFI w/100 miles...

Considering that my 500 will go 50mph, yours might have an issue to sort out. Being that it's fuel injected, you might want to check with the dealer to make sure it has the latest and greatest chip settings. It might need a flash update or something. In the mean time, I know it only has 100 miles, but you might check the air filter to make sure it isn't clogged.

Good luck, I'm sure others here with fuel injection will offer some input.
