Mostly dunes and trails. Everyone keeps saying get the 450r for trails but why? I like to go fast and have power. I really do not care about comfort. It never comes to mind when i ride. What are your thoughts on why the 450r is good for trails?

Also I am not a tall person. I have sat on both so I don't need to worry about being cramped on a yfz. Will that accommodate me more? Also why do people think the shocks are to stiff? Can't you adjust them?

If a YFZ is what you want then thats what I would get if I was you.

When it comes to quads there is way to much personal preference to get excited about what someone else thinks.

90% of the time I ride is with a guy with a 06 YFZ 450 and we ride the same areas. He prefers his and I prefer mine. So who is right at which is better for our riding? We both are because we have the quads we want.

On paper the 450r probally is a better trail quad but not by enough that if you want a YFZ you shouldnt buy one.

Buy what you want just make a informed decision and look at everything.

Oh and we ride 90% trails.

I have been looking at everything. This is such a hard decision. Plus I hear the 08 models might have digital fuel injection. If so i will wait for that. Anybody here of it yet?

Talked to my dealer about it and Yamaha has not told him that fuel injection is comming for the YFZ . I was reading Quad magazine and they had an article about it but the mag said that its just rummors. I really like my new YFZ picked it up yesterday and got to go for a nice long ride..

If trailriding is what you do, why wouldn't you rather get a kfx450 with reverse, fuel injection, and electric start? Unless for some reason you will only ride a yamaha because you're a loyal yamaha enthusiast.

not starting anything, just wondering why you would choose that over a kfx 450, not the 700. The yfz450 is setup more for only MX without having electric start, fuel injection and reverse, that's a big thing if you're going to be using it for fun.
