I am wanting to put a different exhaust on my bike. But someone told me that if i dont jet it there is really no reason in putting an exhaust on it.

Is that true?

What exhaust is louder but not annoying?

What jet kit is best to use?

Is there any other suggestions?

 

If you dont re jet your bike after putting on an aftermarket exhaust you are going to risk serious damage to your motor. It will run way to lean. As for jets most people just go to there honda dealer and buy OEM jets. I am currently running an HMF alip on exhaust on my rubicon, and it is very loud. Its one of those that people either love the way it sounds or cant stand it at all. I love it and so do most of the people I ride with cause we all love loud.

 

A friend of mine as an HMF on his 450es, with a dial-a-jet. Sounds really good, working it hard through snow or swamp it sounds like you're at a tractor pull.
