I have what I believe is a 50cc Kazuma. It's a couple years old. I changed the oil on it, but I have a question about the left side of the engine. Is there supposed to be a lubricant or oil in the left side, where the stator is? The outside casing has what looks to be a drain area at the very front. I can't tell if that hole was intentional or if it was a manufacture defect. Any clues out there if there's supposed to be fluid on that side?

 

The hole in the casing is on every motor, its part of the mold, don't worry about that. No oil goes on the left side, only on the right. The left side is for timing only & should not have any lubricant in it.

 

That's what I thought, but there's always been a trace of red fluid that would drip out of there occasionally. It looked like tranny fluid so I wasn't sure. Thanks!

im a mechanic at kazuma dealer ,pedez 2000 is right see a lot of ruined stators .
