Well let's put it this way. After doing research on them I recommended one to my friend when he was looking to buy. He bought one on a Saturday and after riding it I was so hooked that I went and got one the next weekend. I'm extremely pleased with mine. I mainly do recreational, sporty riding and I think the new 700 grizz is the best all around atv on the market for that type of riding. The EPS is just plain awesome. If you are wanting a machine for recreational riding I think the Grizz is the right choice. If you are wanting more of a work machine I think you should look elsewhere to be honest.

I reacently up graded from a Kodiac 450, it was an excellent machine but this new Grizzly is something else. I feel it is every bit the utility machine the 450 was and alot more. power is good and managable, easy to ride. The EPS is the greatest thing since sliced bread, the fuelinjection is crisp and seems to be spot on.

The new machine has a lot of plastic and that does concern me some but that is all that concerns me.

Hey dude you have to remember, the DVD is from Yamaha, they are selling the 700 EFI. An I am your Bro, who also likes what they have to offer. I have several friends that own the Grizzly, and a few with Rincons, all like the Grizzly. I haven't know any Artic Cat owners, or King Quad owners to allow me to ride their machines. But as far as what I have ridden, Rincon, Grizzly, Brute Force, and the Polaris, Grizzly is for me.

When are we going to Miss. to get one, they have the best prices we have found at Lake Hills Motors, in Corinth. Ready to buy!!!!!!!!

I don't know where you are located but if it's worth the drive definitely check out Abernathy's in Union City TN. They have the lowest price i've seen.

The Grizzly has the makings of a truly great ATV but I think I'll wait until next model year. There are some fairly serious bugs which they seem to need to work out yet.

The Electronic Fuel Injection is simply not ready. This winter it was not starting in the cold. This was never positively traced down. Oil was changed and some fiddling with mixture settings was done but nothing official seems to have been released.

In the summer another stalling problem has again surfaced.

People are constantly having to diddle and futz with mixture settings in an attempt to make the thing idle and run correctly.

I've heard of two reports locally of the power steering unit failing. One of these was due to debris being thrown into the unit from the tires. The motor is apparently quite exposed and debris and rocks can easily damage the unprotected device. The other was due to submersion in water. The unit simply stopped working after it was under water.

I think (I would hope) once they get these teething problems straightened out the new Grizzly will be an outstanding ATV and I'll probably end up with one. Right now though there are too many things wrong with it for me to buy one. It is apparent Yamaha didn't quite have the bugs worked out and they rushed the Grizzly to market and I'm not interested in being an unpaid beta tester or worse paying Yamaha for the privilege.

Thanks for the information on prices, I checked out Abernathy's, but still Lake Hills Motor beats them all, or at least all that I have found. We, my brothers and I are about to buy 5 - 4 wheelers and a Motox bike, and just looking at the prices on the internet Lake Hills is going to save us over 3,000 on these purchases, that is compared to our dealer in Hammond, La. Worth the 5 hr drive up there. Lake Hills sells Honda and Yamaha, and the web site is
http://www.lakehillmotors.com/index.htm

if anyone is interested. We just need to make up our minds on which machines we want to get.

Abernathy's Price
Our Price $7,554.00 Grizzly 700 FI Auto. 4x4
Our Price $6,944.00

Lake Hills Price
2007 Grizzly 700
$6,899.99

That's interesting. Abernathy's raised their price since I had last checked, and raised it about 500 bucks!
