suzuki quadracer r450 or honder trx450r
#2
Well first of all welcome to the forums and I would like to know what type or racing are you planning on doing...TT, gncc type, mx...IMO these two would be my two choices and I was stuck between these two when I was going to purchase my quad and I went with the Honda and am glad I did...The Honda is a very comfortable quad ergonomics wise along with the quadracer, but the Honda felt better being 6ft and 160 pds...The Zuki as you problably know does have efi which can be good because you can slap on a cherry bomb and get great power gains along with a pipe and airfilter, but you will need to take care of the system and if you don't know how to work on efi the carb would be better as long as you are handy...The efi will be better because it will keep the quad from running lean or too rich and should keep it somewhere in between where as for the carb you need to know how to tune and jet...The Honda rides great and will be more nimble due to its width through the woods and is better at getting the power to the ground...The Zuki has a wider stance stock and has pretty good suspension and will be more race ready and will be better if you are going to be entering at entry level since it has a wider stance to it, but when you get into racing people end up getting aftermarket a arms and axles anyhow...I would say if you are tight on money and want to race out of the box go with the suzuki because it already has a wider axle and a arms and you won't really have to do anything to start racing bedies some more power and you already have 18's on it...I would get the 450r for gncc type racing and if you have the money to put in mods and are going to be serious about racing go with the 450r and I don't think you will look back...JMO wish ya luck
