Default Idle on 660 raptor

my idle on the bike sounds low. the book says to put it at 1444 rpms. or close to that number. how do i know that i am at that number. you would need a tachometer i am assuming, where can i get a tach for this bike. not to install but to test the rpms???. i am going nuts on the internet and cant find anything that looks like what i need please anyone with info respond.. thank you anthony.

Default Idle on 660 raptor

antcomo, to be honest i would not worry about that exact RPM. on my raptor i just adjust it to the lower end of the idle. often times i adjust it up and down such as when i start it on a cold day i increase it, and then lower it after it warms it. When I am in high altitude I will increase it a little bit too. As long as it does not die when it is idling, I think you will be fine.
