Is the new 400ex's slower than the older models?

Default Is the new 400ex's slower than the older models?
I know a stock 400EX will go about 65-70mph. But lately i've heard talk that the newer models will only do 55-60mph. Is this true?

Not sure if I am recalling correctly, but weren't there some gearing changes on the newer model???

There were some slight changes, but the newer ones still top out around 65mph.
