Can anybody help explain about the AC 250 4x4?

I have been thinking about getting an entry level machine for others to trail around on . I have an opportunity to get a deal on a 04' 250 4x4, but it looks to be one of those off brands re badged. I am familiar with the AC line in general....and am impressed.

I think it's a true AC. It's almost identical to the 300, here is a side by side.

 

I know its not the 250..but my friend has a 01 or 02(?) 300 and it has done him really well. He keeps in the woods under a tarp and uses it to pull cord wood out of his 40 acre wood lot. He has never washed it, changed the oil 1 or 2x. This past winter he has had to replace the wheel bearings.
Actually, outside of that he did replace a voltage regulator a couple years ago..and his speedo doesn't work anymore.

It has been pretty damn reliable for him I would say and he hasn't really beat on it or taken all that great of care for it either.

 

Does it have the fender flares on it,if not the mud will get ya,you can ad the speedo to it,and get the 4 to 2wheel drive lever,note with fender flares you need to have the other front bumper,basically mines looks like the 300 picture normal looking,foot pedal brake has allways been poopy and i never use it.the thing is on a gas diet so fill ups are less,great on gas .lift kit will help ward off the hits from stumps rocks ext,I found good replacement tires same size..the thing great on ya butt and back too.....i love mine,tc gtg ...Ps they no longer make that style it's was a sad thing to hear.....
