Time for a new bike, need advice

I just got a 350 warrior about 3 months ago and already it feels like not enough power for me, like 5 of my friends have z400's and they feel really tippy to me like the seats to high or something, i have never driven a 400ex, but i like the look of them more, but alot of people say the z is way better, what do you people suggest?

I have owned all three. Absolutely nothing "tippy" about the EX...you are dreaming! If I could only own one quad, it would absolutely be the EX!
I like the EX for trail riding. Great handling machine! It has an engine that does not mind being lugged down, and ridden slow. Along with its brother the 300EX...it is the best tight trail quad of all time!
The Z is probably the best all-around quad on the market. Basically, its frame geometry is an EX knockoff, so naturally it handles great. Does have better suspension. The Z likes to rev though, and doesn't like to lug down. So on a tight trail, you have to do annoying clutch slipping (although not nearly as much as you would have to do on a 450). So, I pick the Z for more open trails and wide open country.
Did you ask us about the Warrior before you bought it???? Most of the teenagers in here were in diapers when I was riding a Warrior. Could have told you not to waste your money!

If you ride mostly tight trails, then get the EX. If you ride more open country, then the Z. The Z is a good bit faster than the EX! Both have bulletproof motors.

Regardless of what most people here say the z400 is not way faster than the 400ex. I have a 400ex and my brother has a z400. They are actually about the same power wise just different power bands. The z likes to rev and even my brother comments when he rides my ex that it feels like it has a lot more torque. I agree with you the z400 does feel kinda of tippy to me but I have been on my ex since they came out in 99 and am probably just more used to it. Im sure that feeling would go away after you got used to the Z. And yes a 400ex is way faster than a warrior. I think the z is actually a little cheaper than the ex. You cant go wrong with either one.

put a 13t sprocket and you can lug the z. 20 bucks. and yes the Z is a good bit faster than the ex. easily. it has 4 more hp. how could they be close? think about this....you aska 400ex owner whats better, their bike or a z400....of course they will say their bike. it only natural. Just look at all the reveiws in the mags..the z400 smokes the 400ex. It has more power. 400ex owners just can't come to terms with the facts. Just ask my buddy who sold his 400ex after racing my bike. It was a slaughter. His bike had the same mods I have. The z400 also responds better to mods. Its liquid cooled vs. 400ex air cooled (ancient) so you can do a big bore and be more reliable. Z400 FTW!!!
