Jetting trx450r

Default Jetting trx450r

i just purchased and installed a k and n air filter cut off half hte air box.. and a yoshimura rs-7 pro series full ti exhaust... all i have left to do is to stage 2 jet it.. never done it before and i heard that trx's are time consuming in honing them in so any help would be greatly appreciated

You say "stage 2 Jet" so I'm taking it that your speaking about the DynoJet kit. If that is the case follow there instructions. It will get you pretty close. Adjust the fuel screw to fine tune. It's hard to get it perfect. I mean weather conditions will even effect it. Just make a habit to check your plug ever now and then to see how she's doing.

BTW get a pre-filter for that K&N before you start the jetting fine tuning. Unfortunately you have to have a filter to filter for the K&N.

thanks i already have the prefilter on... i usually ride in mud and or dusty conditions so i drilled holes in teh airbox instead of cutting it or taking it completely off... but it should be jetted tomorrow thanx
