Default jetting help

i own a 02 polaris trailblazer with a FMF fatty pipe on it, HSP clutchkit, and a K&N airfilter, and i eat gas like crazy. almost twice as much. im pretty sure the jetting is off but i dont know much about how to fix it. i took it into a local dealership and they said the jetting was fine but it has no power until you get to about half throttle. it sounds like the choke is on, like it is bogging out, but once you hit half throttle it takes off quick and sounds good. i know the instructions on the clutch kit said it was going to engage late but i think im losing alot of low end power. if someone could help me with some posible jet numbers/needle positions to start with or what you are running it would be appreciated, the current jets are stock. thanks

the pipe didnt come w/ any jetting recommendations. did you pull your spark plug to see what it looks like as it will tell you if your running rich or not by being black and wet. you sure the clutch is not set up wrong where maybe the weights are too heavy and making it bog or something isnt wore out or extremly dirty. did you have to reset your secondary spring as well? just a couple of idears to throw around.

the jettings recommended by fmf were stock with only a needle adjustment, to the 3rd slot. i tried that and it seemed worse so i put it back to the #2 slot, i followed the instructions on the clutch kit precisely, i was wondering if i need to be running higher octane gas, i was told when i bought it to run regular 87octane by the dealer but have heard from a few people to only run premium. oh yeah and the plug is like a dark brown/black color but not wet

Shouldn't need the higher octane unless you change the compression. (milled the head)

Sounds like the main jet is ok. The needle itself maybe the problem. Is it the stock needle? If so, you may want to check into a tapered one.

And does it idle ok?
