Just wondering if anyone here could tell me what you consider a fair price on a 2001 Sportman 500 HO. I am looking to buy one and don't know if I am getting a good price quote or not.

Thanks

Depends on where you are. Prices vary all over the country. Do a search in the "Polaris" forum. This topic comes up about every two weeks.

Look at a site call neosho honda polaris. They have good prices and will quote over the phone. I think the price the dealer pays is usually about a thousand less than list on a big atv.

I had a quote for $6200 for a '01 SP500. It was from a local tractor dealership that also sold Polaris. Best price I have seen so far. Didn't buy there but I have a friend that did. No funny stuff, full warranty, even did the $69 winch promo.

I was told 6300 at a place in Ashtabula, Ohio. A place in Cleveland was about the same.

Thanks for the replies everyone. The best quote I have gotten so far was $6400, but the guy also wanted to charge for frieght and set up, so I didn't think it was too good a deal. I was thinking $6200 + tax would be about right. I'll keep looking!

Here in Spokane, Washington the dealers don't seem to want to deal. The best price so far was $6700 with the winch and $6900 with the winch and an electric lift snow plow

My brother and I just picked up our 2 new Sportsman 500 HO's on Thursday. We each paid $5960 and that included freight and set-up, supposedly that is $1 over invoice. Mine is red and my brother got the metallic silver, they were all out of yellow.

'99 Bayou 220 (sold)
'99 Bayou 400 4x4 (sold)
'00 Grizzly (sold)
'01 Sportsman (my new baby)
